Having Myself Checked

It took me two years before I went to the hospital again for a lab exam. Since I was trying to stick to my low-carb diet all this time, I was expecting for positive results. If not for the TRA, I probably won’t submit myself to any check-up or medical exam. This would help me validate if the program works on me. I know check-ups and lab exams are necessary especially to those who are monitoring their health but I hate doing fasting. I could barely stand not drinking any fluids; especially water, for 8-10 hours. Because of this, I had to sleep early.

Moving Forward

More than 2 years after, I actually gained a few pounds after taking my diet easy. Instead of pursuing my target weight, I became content with my current weight and planned to just maintain it. I did eat carbs more often and enjoyed cheat days at least twice a week. Eating out actually becomes more enjoyable for me. I’m always excited to eat. I’m always on a search for a new restaurant that I would like to try together with my family. This goes on for a while.

Taking It Slow

It’s been a while since I last wrote an update about my diet. More than 4 months have passed and I already lost 15 pounds. That was 5 pounds away to my goal. I’m expecting the process to be slower this time because I gave in to temptations during the holidays. I know losing weight takes time so I don’t mind going through it in a long time.

Rekindling Love With Baking

It has been more than 10 years since I last baked. We had this small business before where I do most of the baking then my mother will ask our household helper to sell it to the neighborhood. I remember baking some goods like chocolate crinkles, brownies and cupcakes (cheese, chocolate). We even baked a cake but I was still in high school at that time. Mom got her recipes when she attended short cooking lessons with some fellow mothers in the school.

First Major Car Scratches, Ouch!

Whenever we go to the airport, my mother’s cousin always drive for us. Even if my father was against of the idea of not hiring a driver 2 weeks ago, I grabbed that chance to learn and practice driving to the airport for the first time. I was actually pretty confident going to NAIA 3 to fetch my brother since I have driving directions from iPad’s Maps application plus my sister’s boyfriend would be coming with us to the airport. Mom and I survived EDSA and reached Pasong Tamo without major traffic hassle from 7:00pm-9:30pm. We only fetched my sister and her boyfriend from their place and then dropped my sister off in her office at Makati before heading to the airport with her boyfriend.

Here I Come, A1!

I recently wrote about my first ever experience at SM TicketNet outlet when I bought a ticket last week. It didn’t go too well for me but I’m just glad that I’m over with it. And most of all, I finally have the ticket. This just excites me. I never watched a real concert nor get into The Big Dome before. This is actually huge for me. And I just can’t hide what I feel about the fact that I would get to experience these things soon.

Long Wait At SM TicketNet Outlet

Even if I was already in SM Pampanga last Sunday, I had to go to there again yesterday just to claim and buy the ticket I’d reserved last Monday. I was initially planning to get the ticket at SM Baliuag but TicketNet has still no outlet in the said mall. So together with my Mom, my aunt and her daughter, we went to Pampanga around lunchtime.

Loving My Lab Tests Results

It’s been around 7 weeks already since I started doing Atkins. I was able to lose weight during the first 2 weeks but lost nothing in the succeeding weeks. If you’ve read the book, you’ll be familiar with the term ‘metabolic resistance’. I’m not sure what causes in a way, it has something to do with digestion. Sadly, I’m one of those unfortunate folks that are experiencing that condition. I have to take fiber supplements but they don’t work all the time. That is my problem. And just this week, I finally got to visit the doctor and took lab exams.

Money Making, Teaching

Status: Inactive

For more than a year, I worked as an online English tutor. I was nervous at first, but I started to enjoy the experience and opportunity to practice my English. No one from school knows about this part-time work except from a close friend who introduced me to the job. My initial goal was to save money while studying at that time. I never knew that I would like doing it until I realized I was online and skipping some social events everyday. This continued for more than a year and I was really happy about it.

Got Updated, Finally!

I started selling Smart e-load 4 months ago but I’ve been a Globe e-load seller since 2008. Most of my friends and family members use Globe but in order to regularly use my Smart Bro SIM, I bought a Smart Retailer SIM. Compared to Globe Retailer SIM, it’s hard to find a Smart Retailer SIM. They’re not available in Smart Wireless Centers, not even in mobile phone shops and centers. The guard in a Smart Wireless Center told me about the Smart Distribution Centers. Luckily, I’ve found one at the local market of a nearby town.
