iPhone, At Last!

I know this is a very late post. I’ve been busy these past few months that I didn’t get to update this blog. Hopefully, I could find time to update this site more often. In that case, expect more late posts from me.

New Toy

I’m very thankful to the Lord that I can sometimes enjoy using powerful technologies without buying them on my own. After the iPad, I can finally lay down my hands on the new Macbook Pro – well at least for a while until they get it back from me. Since mid-2008, I’ve been waiting to get my hand to another Mac computer that I can use on my work as I really need to let my Macbook white rest before its AppleCare subscription expires. Since I’m into iPhone/iPad applications development, I cannot use a Linux or Windows machine in doing my programming-related tasks. That’s why MBP is just perfect for me.

Filipino Appleites

Got the term appleites from the one of the websites I have recently discovered, http://www.applei.ph/. Taking some text from the website itself, the site aims to cater all the needs of the Filipino iPhone community with regards to iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad. I haven’t browsed all the pages yet but it seems a very useful resource for every appleite in the Philippines. The site also features some iPhone/iPad applications made by Filipinos, which are available in the iTunes App Store.

iPod Touch Dilemma

Since last year, I’ve been thinking of getting either an iPhone or iPod Touch. iPhone 4, which has been launched this year, seemed amazing with its new features and updates. However, it is much expensive than the 3GS unit when the latter was released maybe last 2009. I usually don’t spend a lot of moolah in gadgets unless it’s really needed and I found it very useful. In addition, the thought of using an iPhone in public also scares me.  And so, I decided not to get one. Maybe I’ll reconsider next time. I really don’t know. On the other hand, iPod Touch during that time lacks some of important iPhone features I’m looking for like the camera. I wasn’t into games also so no iPod Touch for me also.
